Krista Tippett
Krista Tippett is an American journalist, author, and entrepreneur. She created and hosts the public radio program and podcast “On Being”. She started her career at The New York Times bureau in Bonn in divided Berlin in the ’80s, where she established herself as a freelance foreign correspondent. She reported and wrote for The Times, Newsweek, the BBC, the International Herald Tribune, and Die Zeit. In the late ’80s, Tippett served as chief aide in Berlin to the U.S. ambassador to West Germany. After her time there, Tippett received a Masters of Divinity from Yale University, which ultimately led her to the idea for “On Being.”
