Mariann Budde
Mariann Budde is the ninth bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of Washington. Mariann serves as the chair and president of the Protestant Episcopal Cathedral Foundation. Prior to being elected in 2011 as the first female to be elected as Washington’s bishop, she served as rector of St. John’s Episcopal Church in Minneapolis for 18 years. She’s the author of two books, “Receiving Jesus: The Way of Love” (2019) and “Gathering Up the Fragments: Preaching as Spiritual Practice” (2007).
